Clever energy module for inverters handles 30 A

1 min read

The SLIMDIP-Z energy semiconductor module from Mitsubishi has a rated present of 30 A to allow less complicated, smaller inverter methods for client home equipment. Scheduled to be launched in February 2023, the system expands the corporate’s SLIMDIP sequence to satisfy a wider vary of energy and dimension wants for inverter models. It allows engineers to simplify and downsize methods for multifunctional merchandise, reminiscent of air conditioners, washing machines, and fridges.

This newest element joins the corporate’s different DIPIPMs, clever energy modules with a transfer-mold construction incorporating a switching system and a management IC to drive and defend the switching component. The SLIMDIP-Z options an optimized body form that expands the reverse conducting IGBT (RC-IGBT) chip’s mounting space. An insulation sheet reduces thermal resistance between chip junction and case by about 40{6206074afb95e40b3a5338915f46e55c5f8a921bafe724e8b0cbebb8ecd3c387} in comparison with the prevailing SLIMDIP-L, which allowed the rated present to be elevated to 30A. RC-IGBT temperature suppression helps to simplify and downsize the thermal designs of inverter methods.

A datasheet for the SLIMDIP-Z was not obtainable on the time of this announcement.
